After a year and a half of coffee dates and wondering whether there was anything to this relationship other than having a "Joe" friend, Jonathan pursued. Slowly. Wine. Dinner and cupcakes. More drinks. Spark. Kissing. Lots of kissing. Fancy birthday dinner. Then, on February 28, 2007, Lara agreed to be Jonathan's girlfriend. Spring was glorious. Jonathan felt love budding in his heart as the trees began to show color again after a long winter. A summer apart was hard, but hearts continued to grow toward each other with the help of Verizon Wireless. In August, a tanned Lara returned to NY and her love. Counter to his fears, Jonathan knew he truly loved Lara and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Months of saving. A ring. YES!
